Greeting From Consul

The Republic of Seychelles is located 1,300 km east of the African continent and consists of 115 islands of various sizes, known as the "Pearls of the Indian Ocean".
Since its independence in 1976, the Republic of Seychelles has maintained a long history of friendly relations with the Japanese government.

The Seychelles is famous as the honeymoon destination of the British royal family, Prince William and Princess Catherine, and is a beach resort where visitors can enjoy unspoiled nature, including "Anse Radio" beach, which is called the "most beautiful beach in the world".
It is also called "the last paradise resort" by Western celebrities.

Although a small country with a population of 100,000, it is the richest country in Africa with a nominal GDP per capita of $14,861 (in 2021), and is very safe.

Even if it may seem a bit far from Japan, we hope that you will extend your visit and enjoy this last paradise to the fullest.
We look forward to welcoming you.

Honorary Consulate General of the Republic of Seychelles
